Finger Trainer guide · Page 1 of 5
Your first round
Finger Trainer is free touch-typing practice. It shows the next key on a drawn keyboard and lights the finger that should press it, so you learn the keys by feel instead of looking down.
Steps
- Go to Practice. Stage 1, Home row, is already chosen.
- Rest your left fingers on A S D F and your right fingers on J K L ;. The bumps on F and J guide your index fingers.
- Watch the screen, not your hands. The next letter is marked in the text, its key lights up on the keyboard, and the finger that presses it lights up on the hands below.
- Type the line. When it ends, you see your speed, your accuracy and what to do next.

You need a physical keyboard: a laptop, a desktop, or a tablet with a keyboard attached. There is nothing to install and no account.
What the colors mean
Each key is colored by the finger that presses it, on the keyboard, on the hands and in the finger chart. The color tells you the finger; the side of the keyboard tells you the hand.
