Ways to practice
Three modes
- Line by line: one line at a time, with a summary after each. Esc skips to a new line.
- Timed: 30, 60 or 120 seconds of text that never runs out. Your speed counts only correct keys, and a wrong key doesn't count, so mashing scores nothing. The trainer keeps your best speed for each length. Esc restarts the timer.
- Perfect run: text that never runs out, until your first mistake ends the run. Your score is the number of keys in a row; the trainer keeps your longest run. Esc starts a new run.
What to practice
- One stage: click it.
- Several stages: hold Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) and click each one; click a picked stage again to take it out. Each picked stage gets an equal share of the text.
- All stages: click Mix all stages.
- Your weak keys: click Weak keys.
- One finger's keys: click that finger on the drawn hands. You get words packed with its keys: its letters, plus its numbers and symbols when your chosen stage includes them.
Only a single stage in Line by line passes a stage; combined stages, weak keys and finger drills are for extra practice.
